Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
Mental Health is a real concern among our community, within our personal lives and within our work lives. The course offers invaluable insight into supporting your friends, family, work colleagues and clients, customers and students. The Mental Health First Aid course is designed to learn how to assist a person who is experiencing a mental health crisis or problem until you can link them to professional help, or you have helped them to an extent that they no longer need help (eg. Panic attack).
Please note: this course is not JUST for work situations. The skills you learn can be applied in your own personal life when supporting friends and family through difficult times.
The Mental Health First Aid course is a 12- hour face-to-face course that I am offering in different formats to meet work commitments. The training not only applies to workers in the industry, but also includes principles that will assist you to acknowledge when co-workers and members of your family may need mental health support – something that is very relevant in our current times.
It is an extremely valuable and insightful course, and one that I have recommended to my own ex- students to complete. Even though I have these courses booked in at the moment, I can open up extra courses to suit your organisation.
